Currently, we are searching for an Injection Molding Mold Setter (Nights) to join our Operations Team at the Brooklyn Park, MN facility. The Mold Setter is responsible to set-up and operate injection molding presses and equipment, work with molding tools and molding blocks and perform maintenance (when required).
Required Skills
Key Result Accountabilities:
* Maintain and control material distribution and documentation;
* Maintain time and production records;
* Set up, start and operate machines and equipment efficiently and effectively;
* Read part prints and understand dimensions producing high quality components to print specifications;
* Maintain molds, tools and equipment in good running condition;
* Use and understand how inspection equipment works - making sure it is correct and calibrated;
* Maintain correct lot control numbers of components and assemblies with proper documentation;
* Sample new molding projects;
* Create and develop new press cycle/process sheets;
* Identify situations that could affect work flow, make necessary changes with appropriate departments;
* Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product;
* Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist other employees in solving work problems;
* Assist in-process inspector on quality issues;
* Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders;
* Examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications;
* Participate in maintaining the necessary requirements for Class 100,000 Clean Room as needed
Required Experience
Qualifications:
* 2 years injection molding experience;
* Knowledge of basic plastic injection molding operations;
* Knowledge of plastic injection molding press set-ups;
* Proper use of a wide variety of inspection equipment;
* Strong shop math skills and terminology;
* Strong understanding of blue print reading and GD&T toleranceing;
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented work environment; and
* Oracle operating system knowledge helpful
