Position Description:


Positions in this function include RN (with current licensure) and LPN/LVN roles that work under the direct supervision of an RN or MD.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Utilization management


• Review of current inpatient services


• Determination of medical appropriateness of inpatient and outpatient services following evaluation of medical guidelines and benefit determination


• Performs telephonic outreach to support case managers


• Performs telephonic outreach to physician's office


• Works collaboratively with case managers and engagement specialists

Skills / Requirements

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED is required


• 3+ years of experience as a licensed LPN in the state of Minnesota


• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)


• Customer service experience is required


• 1+ year of experience at a managed insurance company is a plus
