This position is responsible for supervising the clinical administrative support processes working with clinical staff, account teams, and other departments to coordinate administrative support services for Bloomington Care Coordination Center. Includes managing the clinical administrative tasks and workflows, managing d hoc requests for services from leadership/clinical teams/ customer account teams, establishing and managing adherence to staff schedules, establishing and managing to priorities for the team, monitoring incoming calls, and process for transferring members as appropriate to clinical staff.

  • Job Scope and Leveling Guidelines:

  • Owns team input and output at task level.

  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion.

  • Coordinates work activities with site leadership and clinical management.

  • Develops actions plans to meet service levels and business objectives.

  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment.

  • Works closely with Clinical Managers and Site Leadership to understand business priorities, and how clinical administrative support team supports those objectives via specific plans and deliverables

  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan.

  • Decisions impact individual employees and customers

    Skills / Requirements




  • 2+ years experience in Medical/Utilization Management in Managed Healthcare



  • Demonstrates leadership skills



  • Effective oral and written communication skills with analytical and problem solving skills.



  • Experience in using MS Windows based PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)



  • Ability to perform ICD-9, CPT and HCPC coding



  • Understanding of basic medical terminology



  • Willingness to work flexible work schedule as needed
