Job Summary
Initiate actions to design, develop and implement projects or processes and identify and resolve systems problems for the Global Payroll Operation, including business design specifications, overall communications, organizational change management, systems testing, end-user testing and training, and acquisition implementation. Implement improvements and/or solutions to work processes and procedures identified by management or the business work team analyst. Identify and analyze alternatives to resolve gaps between the business requirements and payroll functionality and/or other payroll systems, and document the final solution. Global payroll contact for subsidiary/country issue escalation and ongoing support including international payroll interface and process improvements. Handle special projects as assigned.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct difficult assignments; initiates actions to design, develop, and implement projects or processes for Global Payroll Operation; leads the implementation of problem identification and resolution, and overall communication. Connect with other payroll analyst to ensure efficiencies, synergies and consistency with processes. Compile documentation needed for approval of system incidents/project deliverables. Collaborate with Global Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and HR IT analyst to make decisions on the acceptability of the system solution to meet business requirements. Responsible for documentation of incidents, alternatives, and recommendations to management.
Implement improvements and/or solutions to work processes and procedures identified by global work teams. Identify improvement alternatives to resolve gaps between business requirements & current practices and functionality. Document the solution. Assist with the configuration of the system. Identify and define bolt-on, interface, and conversion requirements, as needed. Define and document test scenarios, populations, and scripts. Perform systems tests.
Design, develop, and implement end-user training for Global Payroll area.
Special Projects as assigned by management. Write plans or handle the projects, using specialized knowledge to ensure plans support business needs and goals. Ensure proper documentation for assigned projects and systems.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
Skills / Requirements
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or higher
3+ years of professional payroll experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of professional payroll experience
Certified Payroll Professional
1+ year of experience with SAP ABAP module
3+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Payroll
3+ years of experience with payroll related systems (such as time and attendance, payroll tax, relocation, etc...)
1+ year of experience leading a cross-functional team
