We are currently seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to lead/drive the regulatory efforts of the Meguiar's organization.

Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

* Developing and maintaining documentation relevant to assessment of risk to human health and the environment.
* Performing technical activities leading to regulatory compliance, assessment of safety to human health and the environment, liability avoidance, and product responsibility issues concerning existing or new chemicals, materials, products, or hardgoods.
* Contributing to the timely introduction of new/modified products.

The individual hired to this position will be required to complete a training period in Maplewood, MN, after which time there may be an option to transfer to Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
* Minimum of three years of regulatory affairs experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, physical, biological, or engineering science from an accredited university
* Strong foundation in chemistry
* Previous regulatory experience within consumer product area
* Understanding of regulatory standards/initiatives
* Negotiating skills
* Ability to think "big picture"
* Problem resolution skills
* Ability to communicate cross functionally
* Ability to conduct himself/herself in a manner to earn trust and respect
* Ability to constructively challenge and openly confront issues
* Experience interacting with government regulating agencies
* Previous automotive aftermarket experience
