Job Description

Management Consulting professionals focus on strategy and take responsibility for organizational change and business transformation.

Products Retail - Merchandising and Planning professionals help our clients satisfy today's customer by working with them to: achieve excellence in core processes including merchandising; provide formats that are relevant and maximize sales per area unit; enhance capabilities in store labor management; and improve the capability to operate in multiple stores, formats and channels at pace and scale, through quick and effective delivery of initiatives.

Key responsibilities may include:

* Shaping and leading merchandising planning and/or analytics programs from business diagnosis and planning into transformation program and projects for the following areas:
1. Merchandising Integrated planning
2. Merchandising strategic/financial planning
3. Merchandising assortment planning
4. Merchandising space planning
5. Merchandising customer insight lead planning

* Identifying and prioritizing account level value creation opportunities based on assessment activities and an understanding of client high level visions, performance gaps, and needs
* Translating and conveying client business needs into tangible business solution architecture
* Shaping and leading effort to define organization processes, capabilities, application of key technologies and performance measurements/KPIs
* Monitoring and managing target value and performance goals (e.g., strategic, financial and operations), ensuring planned business outcomes are achieved and adjusting program if necessary
* Leveraging the full range of appropriate client and Accenture resources in designing the change plan
* Leading effective multi-disciplinary teams to plan and deliver the business outcomes of the journey

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 8+ years of merchandising and planning experience
* 8 + years of Consulting background or project management background in the merchandising space
* 8 + years of project management and delivery experience
* At least Bachelor's Degree Required

Preferred Skill Set

* 5+ years of Retail implementation experience in JDA or SAP, and/or Oracle/Retek
* Short lifecycle Fashion Retailing experience

* Proven ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment
* Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
* Desire to work in an information systems environment
* Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
* Excellent leadership and management skills
