Position Description:

Positions in this function provide local technical support to UnitedHealth Groups computer user community. Includes installations, upgrades, computing problem resolution, diagnosis of issue severity, recovery and project implementation.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory of UHG data bearing devices, including but not limited to server, desktop, laptop, printer, fax and external storage arrays. Comprising over 218,000 assets presently


• Track UHG Enterprise data bearing device lifecycle changes (repair and component returns/exchanges)


• Ensure security of data bearing devices during disposal or maintenance replacement


• Analyze, reconcile and report any security exposures or lapses


• Maintain database of erasure/destruction certificate documents


• Maintain audit response exhibits for regulatory and customer audits


• Integrate data reporting from internal and external providers of lifecycle changes


• Manage vendor to UHG security expectations


• 
  
  Liaise with UHG Corporate Security, UHG Information Risk Management, UHG IT Computer Services, UHG IT Remote Client Operations, UHG IT Managed Print and all non UHG IT managed segments and M&A's
  


• Development of policies and procedures for international implementation


• Assist in the selection and implementation of international disposal vendors


• Ability to develop idea into actionable plan


• Create plan


• Develop process and documentation


• Create best practices for global asset movement and disposal


• Develop and publish security policies and procedures


• Develop tracking system and monitoring tools

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

  2+ years experience with knowledge of security best practices

  2+ years computer hardware and software support

  High school diploma/GED and 2+ years experience or Bachelors degree
