POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Service Technician II provides customers scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting and repair service of their audio, video, electronic communications, and presentation systems equipment.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
This person must have previous experience in the service of audio, video, audio visual and presentation equipment.
Educational background must consist of formal technical electronics training. Attendance of manufacturer equipment training seminars and a strong mechanical aptitude are important to this position.
System programming modifications and loading of updated code for repaired equipment or system hardware modification are skill sets required for this level position.
The ability to work independently, be self-directed and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction is important. Communication and customer relation skills have direct results on success in this position.
The "Service Technician II" classification is based upon years of industry experience, immediate service experience, technical training background, the proficiency of the positions' required skills, customer relation skills, and the individuals' ability to perform the duties required independently with limited direct supervision.
This individual will need to possess the ability to travel as needed.
