Under the direct supervision of the Director of IT, the Systems Engineer L1 is responsible for participating in systems engineering designs, evaluations, administration and support of current and potential enterprise server/storage and software.

* Assist in the definition, acquisition, design, implementation, and support of servers and systems used in both the office and clinical environments
* Assist in the implementation, administration and support of enterprise clinical application such as EHR and PACS.
* Act as an escalation point for tech support staff or others on various hardware and software issues
* Assist in the implement and administration of corporate and clinical servers including application, web, and database
* Assist in the implementation and administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file and print as well as group policy
* Assist in the implementation and administration of virtualization technologies and servers running Citrix and/or VMware
* Participate in backup and maintenance of server hardware and software in an enterprise environment
* Participate in the implementation and administration of corporate VOIP phone system
* Participate in the implementation and administration of corporate access/security systems
* Assist in the design evaluations of current and potential server and storage systems
* Help develop, implement, and monitor information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance
* Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of the business
* Formulate business systems architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs
* Communicate with other departments in reporting and resolving software, hardware and
operational issues
* Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology preferred. Microsoft, Cisco or similar certification preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a MS-Windows 2003/2008/WIN7/WIN8 enterprise environment.
